Taman Sari – Yogyakarta until now offers one of the best tourist attractions in Indonesia ranging from nature tourism, historical tours, culinary tourism to the most popular tourists from the aroma of history that is still attached to the culture of the palace.

One of the many aromas of historical tourism with the culture of the palace is still in the Taman Sari Jogja. The beauty and aroma of the palace that used to be the palace palace garden as well as a fortress in the years 1758 – 1766 which was founded by Sultan Hamengkubuwono I.

Its location is close to Keraton Hadiningrat which only takes 20 minutes from north palace palace and now become popular tourist place in Yogyakarta which become the destination of domestic and foreign tourists.

Taman Sari in Jogja has an area of more than 10 hectares with about 57 buildings including swimming baths, buildings, suspension bridges, water canals, or artificial lakes, artificial islands and underwater aisles.

But the Jogja sari garden, once known as “The Fragrant Garden”, is now only seen by the remnants of the sari section in the southwest of the Kedaton complex.

Whereas the story in 1765 – 1812 stretched from the southwest of Kedaton complex to the southeast of the Magangan complex. Because it is now reduced due to the many settlements in some complexes.

It is said that Taman Sari was founded on the old palace of Garjitawati pesanggrahan built by Paku Buwono II as a horse-drawn carriage which usually goes to Imogiri.

Headed by the head of Sari Park development project selected Tumenggung Mangundipuro which all the development cost is borne by Regent of Tumenggung Prawiro Sentiko madiun along with all the people.

Madiun is therefore exempt from tax collection. Amid the construction of Mangundipuro resigned the unknown why it was later replaced by Prince Notokusumo.

Although inaugurated as the Garden of the palace but some buildings also indicate as the last bastion if attacked by the enemy which is one of the architects of this park Demang Tegis Portuguese nationality.

Taman Sari Jogja is now divided into four parts of which the first part is an artificial lake located in the West and the second part to the south is also an artificial lake Binul umbul bath.

The third part is Garjitawati Pond and Pasarean Ledok Sari in the south. The fourth part is a composite of the first and second sections that extend eastward to the southeast of the Magangan complex.

Part One Pulo Kenongo, Pulo Cemethi and Gumuling Wells

Entrance Fee Taman Sari

In the first section we are presented which in its golden age is the most exotic place made of artificial lake called Segaran literally Segaran = artificial sea.

Here is a place to boast the sultan and the royal family. In addition it is also functioned to maintain various types of fish. But now the condition is quite apprehensive because it no longer contains water and become a dense settlement known kampung park.

In the middle of this Segaran there is an artificial pulo called Pulo Kenongo because many planted Kenanga trees.

There stands a two-story building “Gedhung Kenongo” from the highest platform you can see the area of Yogyakarta palace and its surroundings beyond the fortress baluwarti.

The building is quite fascinating because from a distance we like floating on the water so named the Water Castle (Water Castle).

To the south of Pulo Kenongo is a tunnel of underwater tunnel vents called Tajug. This tunnel is for you who want an artificial lake by boat or boat because it is the entrance to Pulo Kenongo.

Formerly in the western part there is also a tunnel but is now not used anymore because it is not better maintained this southern part.

To the south of Pulo Kenongo there are also Cemethi pulo and Pulo Panembung which is said to be the seat of meditation sultan and seek enlightenment. And west of the pulp kenongo stored well-shaped circular ring called Gumuling Well.

This building can only be entered through an underwater tunnel and used as a mosque that has an acoustic design. On both walls a niche is used as a mihrab, here, without a loud scream will be heard in all directions until now. And in the middle of the building there is a trap one of which there is a pool that is used as a place of ablution.

Part Two Gedhong-gedong and Umbul Binangun

How to Get to Taman Sari

In the second part there are several gedhong-gedhong palace consisting of Gedhong Gapura hageng, gedhong Lopak-Lopak, gedhong sekawan, gedhong Gapura Panggung, gedong temanten and most attract tourists is Umbul Pasiraman or known as Umbul Binangun.

Umbul Binangun is a bathing place of Sultan, Empress, wives (garwo ampil) and princesses. The place is surrounded by a high wall and there are two western and eastern gates to enter it.

Here are three pools that are decorated with fungi-shaped springs that surround the giant flower pots laid to decorate them.

In the north there is a building which is a place of rest and change clothes for the princess and wife (concubine). In the south there are 2 pools of Umbul Muncar and blumbang kuras. Western wing buildings where changing clothes and east wings to rest the Sultan.

In his time here may only be entered by the Sultan and only women who can enter because all the perempan including the empress, wife (concubines) and sultan’s daughter who came here off clothes and naked so that other than women are strictly prohibited to enter here by the Sultan.

This is where the Water Palace where the king’s baths and queens and princesses of old can be perceived by visitors.

Stunning buildings with beautiful architecture and captivating blend of Europe, Hindu, Javanese and Chinese complete with secret rooms and hallways that hold a lot of cultural stories of the palace.

The charm and splendor of Taman Sari is still stored in the ruins of buildings that we can not see the fragrance of the old flowers of the surrounding.

But the rest of the beauty and grandeur can still be seen visually by the tourists who visit.

Swimming bath that became the main magnet of tourists because it seemed to be king and the empress was bathing. In fact, now bathing pools are often used for spot prewedding photos and youthful taking pictures.

Part Three

Taman Sari in Jogja City

This passage does not leave so many traces we can see that any description of the reconstruction.

This section includes Pasarean Dalem Ledok Sari and garjitawati pond complex. The plaza of Sari is still well preserved until now which was once the seat of the sultan’s sultan with its empress. In the center of the building is the Sultan’s bed under which the water flows.

It is estimated that in this section there is a kitchen, tailor room, storage room, and two ponds for waiters as well as spice gardens, fruits, and vegetables. To the West there used to be a complex of Garjitawati ponds.

If that is true, then this area is the rest of Garjitawati guesthouse and most probably also the Pacethokan Banners ever used by Panembahan Senopati.

Part Four

sumur gumuling in taman sari jogja

This last part is part of Taman Sari that is not left except the former suspension bridge and the rest of the dock. The description in this section is almost entirely a reconstruction of the British troop attack on the Royal Palace of Yogyakarta in 1812.

This section consists of an artificial lake and buildings in the center, a park around an artificial lake, a large canal connecting this artificial lake with an artificial lake in the first part, as well as a garden.

The artificial lake is located southeast of the Magangan complex to the northeast of Siti Hinggil Kidul. In the midst of it is hidden artificial island which is supposedly called “Pulo Kinupeng”.

Above the island stands a building that is said to be called “Gedhong Gading”. This towering building is called the city tower (Cittadel Tower).

The large canal is on the northwest side of the artificial lake and extends westward and ends on the southeast side of the artificial lake in the first section. In this channel there are two constraints that are expected to be the suspension bridge.

One of the bridges is located on the road connecting the Magangan complex with Kamandhungan Kidul. The remains of this bridge can still be seen, even though the bridge itself has been destroyed.

To the west of the suspension bridge there is a dock. This dock is said to be used as the starting point of Sultan’s entrance to Taman Sari. It is said that the Sultan entered Taman Sari by boating.

To the south of the Canal is a garden. The garden is located west of the Kamandhungan Kidul and Siti Hinggil Kidul complexes. Now the whole place is already a residential area. The garden has changed into Ngadisuryan village while the artificial lake changed into Segaran village.

If we talk about Jogja is endless with the classic theme that leaves various moments and memories of the inherent palace and nuance ethnic nuances of Java are still thick here.

In fact, the head of his area is still led by the Sultan and the king even though Indonesia is now a republic and not a royal state anymore.

Destination that spoil the eyes with heritage various visual works, photography to film. Taman Sari Jogja is used as the location of filming FTV and a number of films because the beautiful village with a panorama of classical Javanese nuance with beauty and scenic beauty offers all the memorable pleasure of course.

All of that certainly indirectly helped boost the promotion of this attraction plus the many adorned visitors from a number of accounts that tag Jogja Taman Sari tourism this.

Plaosan Temple “Lor” and “Kidul”: Small Temple Nicknamed Temple of Love Tue, 06 Feb 2018 12:38:18 +0000 Plaosan Temple Small Temple Nicknamed Temple of Love

Plaosan Temple or commonly referred to as Twin Temple, has two separate main buildings. The two buildings are then given the nickname Plaosan Lor Temple and Plaosan Kidul Temple.

In addition to the two buildings Plaosan Lor Temple and Plaosan Kidul Temple. There are also several Perwara temples or companion temples that stand around it. Just like Prambanan Temple, Plaosan Temple was also founded by King Pikatan.

The location of Plaosan Temple is also not observed far from the location of Prambanan Temple. About one kilometer north of Prambanan Temple, you will find the temple built by the King of Picks for this Consort.

More precisely, Plaosan Temple stands in the village of Plaosan, Prambanan, Klaten, Central Java. Although located in a different city with Prambanan Temple, but the distance between the two is not far away.

Plaosan Temple was built by King Pikatan in the era of the Medhang or Ancient Mataram empire for its Permaisurinya, Pramudyawardani. If you visit Plaosan Temple, you may be a witness of love story between King Pikatan and Pramudyawardani.

In addition to the shape of the building, may be the reason behind the construction that distinguishes Plaosan Temple with Prambanan Temple. If Plaosan Temple is built because of the love of King Pikatan on Pramudyawardani.

Then according to legend, the statue at Prambanan Temple was built on the basis of the anger of Bandung Bondowoso to Roro Jonggrang. As told, Roro Jonggrang rigged Bandung Bondowoso in rejecting the application of Bandung Bondwoso.

There is also a myth that says if you visit Plaosan Temple with your spouse, then your love will be immortal. Like the love story between King Pikatan and Empress, Pramudyawardani.

Turning around with myths when visiting Prambanan Temple, it is said if you visit Prambanan Temple with your partner. Then your love story will end like love Roro Jonggrang and Bandung Bondowoso.

Wow, interesting enough myths about Plaosan and Prambanan Temple. Then what will happen if after visiting the Prambanan Temple with your partner continue the trip to Plaosan Temple. Hmm worth a try as it seems.

Plaosan temple is also referred to as Candi Cinta because every ornament is made in pairs. Like the gate in pairs, there are also two temple buildings and the location of the temple is divided into two, North and South.

Plaosan Lor Temple

History of Plaosan Temple

Plaosan Lor temple has two main temple buildings, called North and North Temple. Both the North Master Temple and the South Mother Temple have different reliefs.

The Northern Master Temple is on the left, dominated by female-themed reliefs. While the reliefs in the Southern Mother Temple more in the dominance of relief about men.

At the Northern Master Temple and the Southern Mother Temple is surrounded by 116 Perwara Stupas, as well as 50 Perwara Temples and an artificial moat. Inside the building there are also six statues of Dhyani Boddhisatwa.

Although from the architecture of the building to the existence of Buddhist stupas and statues, as well as the existence of companion temples. Show that Plaosan Temple is a temple for Buddhists.

Apparently, the architectural style of Plaosan Temple does not fully describe Buddhism. But the art of architecture Plaosan Temple is a blend of Buddhism with Hinduism.

The reason why Plaosan Temple is a Hindu and Buddhist is because King Pikatan comes from the Mataram Kingdom of Syailendra Kingdom. While Permaisuri Pramudyawardani of Mataram Kingdom of Sanjaya Kingdom.

In the time of the kingdom mataram there are two leadership dynasties, namely Syailendra and Sanjaya dynasty. The difference between the two dynasties is the religion in which we profess.

The House of Sanjaya embraced Hinduism, while the Syailendra family embraced Buddhism. Despite his different beliefs, but in fact, Sanjaya is still a descendant of Syailendra.

The background then adds to the public’s belief in the power of love between King Pikatan and Permaisuri Pramudyawardan. As if there were no obstacles that could raise their love.

One more thing you need to see if you visit Plaosan Lor temple complex. In the northern part of the complex there is an open lobby section that holds several Buddha statues.

Plaosan Kidul Temple

Plaosan Temple in Magelang

Plaosan Selatan Temple is more commonly referred to as Plaosan Kidul Temple. Like the southern square of Yogyakarta, the so-called alul-alun kidul (alkid). Kidul is a reference to the direction in the Java language.

Plaosan Kidul temple has several statues and stupas, some of the existing perwara have been restored. Plaosan Kidul temple also has a pendopo which is around eight temples divided into two levels.

Visiting Plaosan Kidul Temple, maybe you will meet three figures that are considered ‘Mother of all Budda’. The three figures are, Tathagata Amitbha, Vajrapani, and Prajnaparamita.

If you visit Plaosan Temple then do not find relef, statue, temple building structure as described. Perhaps the manager changed the location of statues and statues for some reason.

In October 2003, Plaosan Kidul Temple became a conversation. Because of the discovery of gold-sized inscription measuring 18.5 cm x 2.2 cm, near Perwara Temple.

The inscription is written in ancient Javanese letters and uses Sanskrit. Until now, the contents of the inscription has not been known, but is believed to date from the 9th century according to the century of the founding of the temple.

In particular, Plaosan Kidul Temple was discovered in August 1909 by a scientist named Ijzerman. Initially, Ijzerman found 16 children of the temple in damaged condition.

According to Korm, a Dutch scientist, Plaosan Temple has its own characteristics. The feature lies in the smooth part of the terrace wall. According to Korm, this is different from other temple buildings that seem rude.

There are many advantages if you do Study Tour to Plaosan Temple. One of them is the area which is not far from Prambanan Temple. So you can do perajalanan from Prambanan Temple to Plaosan Temple.

Plaosan Temple; The Magnificent Temple Near the Prambanan Temple Tue, 06 Feb 2018 12:07:19 +0000 Plaosan Temple

PLAOSAN TEMPLE — Explore Jogja and find a thousand beauty there! One slogan of reflex I say. I think it is not excessive. Jogja city has many tourist destinations. Good culinary tour, education, culture, nature, and history. One of the historical tours I have ever searched is Plaosan Temple.

Plaosan Temple is one of the temples in Jogja which has its own uniqueness. Why do I take time to tour history, because through the old buildings and artifacts that I learned history.

A piece of the temple rocks seemed to live and tell the story of heroic, glory to the romance of the past. There are many lessons to learn from history. as stock of insight in the present.

Location of Plaosan Temple

Jogja city has many temple relics. Location of the temple is spread almost flat in the city center to the village. The location of Plaosan Temple is not far from Prambanan and Ratu Boko temples, the main tourist attraction.

It is located in Bugisan Village, Prambanan, Klaten. Can be reached by motorcycle, and private car. The journey takes about 20 minutes from the northern square or Kilometer Zero Point.

The road to Plaosan Temple passes the rural road. Right and left lies the scenery of beautiful rice fields. From the rice field seen a pair of temple Plaosan Lor and Plaosan Kidul standing upright between the green rice fields.

Arriving at the site site, you will be welcomed by the villagers. They became the manager of parking as well as stalls. Public shops sell food and soft drinks. The building is still fairly simple stalls made of bamboo. In addition to food stalls, there are also sellers of accessories and souvenirs. They sell near the exit of Plaosan Temple.

While the parking price of Rp 2000, entrance fee Rp 3000. Bandrol the price was when I was there three years ago. Very cheap price to pay for history travel hundreds of years ago.

Discovery of Plaosan Temple

The construction of Plaosan Temple was performed around the 9th century AD of the ancient Mataram kingdom. According to the tour guard I had interviewed the discovery of Plaosan Temple in the 80’s. The discovery was followed by a massive digging that year. In the excavation found the buildings of small temples.

Along with the development of the times, Plaosan Temple received less attention from the government of Plasosan Temple existence again abandoned.

Until one day farmers from local residents found chunks of rocks of the temple from the ground of the sawa that was hoeing. Until one day farmers from local residents found chunks of rocks of the temple from the land that was hijacked.

“Residents here have been hoeing in the fields find the stone part of the temple. The hoe’s eyes pounded a blunt object. After scraped-match it’s part of the temple, “explained the officer.

The official also explained that the Plaosan Temple site is still a process of excavation and research. Allegedly still a lot of stones part of the temple buried in the ground.

Excavation is not one hundred percent completed because constrained funds. Although regularly every year budgeted pembiyaan for care and maintenance site Plaosan Temple.

According to estimates of archaeologists and archaeologists the layout of Plaosan Temple currently does not obey the original map layout due to location considerations. The local government agreed on the location of the gate facing a certain direction. This consideration is done because when following the map location should be meggusur existence of rice fields citizens.

My personal opinion is back to the local government’s decision with the citizens. If you want to dig the site intact. Will completely dismantle the rice fields of the citizens. The positive side is the excavation to require site forms from the preservation of the historical heritage. Historical reading for posterity. But with the record of land evictions of citizens do not cause conflict. The point is the development and preservation of environmentally sound sites.

‘Taj Mahal’ in Java

Ever heard of Taj Mahal in India? A story about the symbol of eternal love of the king to his queen. For the sake of his love of the king made the palace super magnificent ‘Taj Mahal’ gift to his queen. It is said that the Taj Mahal itself is the tomb of his queen who died. To commemorate the late idol of his heart the king spent extraordinary funds decorate the ‘palace magnificent’ for his queen.

Apparently not only in India, apparently in Java, Indonesia precisely the story of Plaosan Temple development was similar to Taj Mahal in India. At that time the Ancient Mataram King Rakai Pikatan awarded Plaosan Temple to Pramudya Wardhani.

Rakai Pikatan makes Plaosan Temple symbol of eternity love. Different religious backgrounds between Rakai Pikatan (Buddhism) and Pramudya Wardhani (Hindu) do not preclude their united love. In Plaosan temple architecture looks clear merging of Hindu and Buddhist temple. The broad social meaning symbolizes tolerance between Buddhist and Hindu societies.

Interesting lessons in the past have lived religious multiculturalism. And religious differences do not become divisive to one another. The difference colored the social system of society first. They live side by side in harmony.

Sukarno said “Never forget history once”. Because history makes many lessons to prepare for the future. Let’s get to know more with this temple.

History of Prambanan

History of Prambanan Temple

Compiled from various sources Prambanan Temple is a group of temples built by Sanjaya Dynasty kings in the IX century.

The discovery of the name Pikatan name on the temple raises the opinion that this temple was built by Rakai Pikatan which was then completed by Rakai Balitung based on the inscription of berangka 856 M “Siwargrarha inscription” as a political manifest to confirm its position as a great king.

The inscription Siwargrarha year 856 AD issued by Rakai Pikatan is unknown origin, now stored in the National Museum of Jakarta.

This inscription began to attract attention after J.G. De Casparis managed to decipher and discuss it. According to Casparis there are three important things in the prasati, namely the language is the oldest example of inscriptions that date in javanese poetry written contents of materials or events of history is very important from the mid-century IX M.

In it there is a detailed description of a “cluster of temples”, something unique in ancient Javanese epigraphy. From the above description of the interesting historical events and descriptions of the construction of cluster of temples. The historical event in question is a war between Balaputeradewa from the Sailendra family against Rakai Pikatan from the Sanjaya family.

Balaputeradewa lost and fled to Sumatra. The consolidation of Rakai Pikatan’s royal family then became the beginning of a new period that needed to be inaugurated by the construction of a large temple cluster. In 1991 this temple was designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO.

There is an inscription that has been found and berangka year 856 AD Shivagrha Inscription. And based on the Shivagrha Inscription, it is said that Prambanan Temple was built in honor of Lord Shiva which is the greatest Hindu god.

And based on that inscription, it is mentioned that this temple was first named as Shiva-grha which means Shiva’s House and also called Shiva-laya which means the Shiva Empire.

The history of Prambanan Temple also can not be separated from the inscription Shivagrha also mentioned about the ongoing of a large project that also took place simultaneously with the construction of Prambanan Temple. The big project that takes place on the exterior of this enclave is the Opak River project.

Opak River is a large river that flows north of Prambanan Temple. It was mentioned that the opaque river originally flowed from the north of the temple complex towards the east, then diverted its flow to the temple.

Opak river cutting is done by cutting the flow of water in the north and diverted directly to the south just past the east of Prambanan Temple.

The history of Prambanan temple ended when the Mataram Kingdom Palace shifted and moved to East Java. Believed to be the cause of the removal of the central government location was caused by a large eruption of Mount Merapi which is located in the north of the temple.

Another cause is the existence of various major rebellions that occurred in the Sanjaya Dynasty itself. And moved the center of government is done by Mpu Sindok in 930 AD which later founded the Isyana Dynasty.

After being abandoned, Prambanan Temple gradually began to decay and eventually suffered massive destruction due to a major earthquake that occurred in the 16th century.

And finally Prambanan Temple is really only a small debris that amounted to hundreds. But even so the surrounding community is still very respectful of the existence of the ruins of the temple to the extent that came the famous legend Roro Jonggrang.

The edge of the temple is bordered by a balustrade fence decorated with reliefs of Ramayana stories that can be enjoyed by pradaksina (walking around the temple with the center of the temple always to our right) through the alley. The Prambanan temple complex was built by the Sanjaya Wajca Kings (Dinasty) in the 9th century.

Prambanan temple is a temple complex with the main temple facing east, with the overall shape resembling mountains at wayang kulit as high as 47 meters. Hinduism recognizes Tri Murti consisting of God Brahma as the Creator, Lord Vishnu as the Preserver, Lord Shiwa as the Destroyer.

Prambanan temple or Shiwa temple is also often referred to as Loro Jonggrang temple related to the legend that tells about a virgin who jonggrang or tall girl, daughter of King Boko who built his kingdom on the hill south of Prambanan temple complex.

The edge of the temple is lined with balustrades, which are decorated with Ramayana reliefs that can be enjoyed when we walk around the temple with the center of the temple always to our right through the alley. The story continues on the railing of the Brahma temple on the left (south) of the main temple.

The main temple chamber facing north contains Durga empress Dewa Shiwa’s shrine, but most people call it Roro Jonggrang statue.

The Origin of Prambanan Temple Name

Prambanan Temple in Sleman Jogja Indonesia

The name Prambanan, derived from the name of the village where this temple stands, is allegedly a change of the name of the Javanese dialect of the Hindu theologian term Brahman meaning “Brahman the Great” ie Brahman or ultimate reality of the highest and greatest that can not be described, which is often equated with the concept of God in Hinduism.

Another opinion assumes that the Brahman may refer to the glorious period of this temple which was once filled with brahmins. Another opinion suggests that the name “Prambanan” is derived from the root of the word mban in the Javanese language meaning to bear or bear the task, referring to the Hindu gods who carry out the task of organizing and running the harmony of the universe.

The original name of this Hindu temple complex is the name of Sanskrit; Siwagrha (Siwa Shiva) or Siwalaya (Shiva’s World), based on the Siwagrha Inscription dated 778 Saka (856 AD).

Trimurti is glorified in this temple complex with its three main temples glorifying Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu. But Shiva Mahadewa who occupies the main room in the temple of Shiva is the most glorified deity in this temple complex.

Folklore of Prambanan Temple

Once upon a time there was a great empire called Prambanan. His people live in tranquility and peace. But what happens next? The kingdom of Prambanan was attacked and colonized by Pengging country.

The serenity of the Prambanan Kingdom is disturbed. The soldiers were unable to face the Pengging forces. Finally, the kingdom of Prambanan is controlled by Pengging, and led by Bandung Bondowoso. Bandung Bondowoso is a cruel ruler.

The next day, Bondowoso approached Loro Jonggrang.

“You are very beautiful, will you be my queen?”, Question Bandung Bondowoso to Loro Jonggrang.
Loro Jonggrang gasped, hearing Bondowoso’s question. “This man is very presumptuous, do not know me immediately want me to be queen”, said Loro Jongrang in the heart. “What should I do?”

Loro Jonggrang became confused. His mind was spinning. If he refuses, then Bandung Bondowoso will be furious and endanger his family and the people of Prambanan. To say yes was not possible, because Loro Jonggrang did not like the Bandung Bondowoso.

“How, Loro Jonggrang?” Urged Bondowoso.

Finally Loro Jonggrang got the idea. “I am willing to be your master’s wife, but there is a condition,” he said. “What is the condition? Want an abundance of treasures? Or a magnificent Palace? “. “Not that, my lord,” said Loro Jonggrang.

I ask a temple, the total must one thousands. “A thousand pieces?” Bondowoso shouted. “Yes, and the temple must be finished overnight.” Bandung Bondowoso stared at Loro Jonggrang, his lips quivering with anger.

Since then Bandung Bondowoso think how to make 1000 temples. Finally he asked his advisor. “I believe my master can make the temple with the help of Jin!”, Said the advisor.

“Yes, your suggestion is right, prepare the equipment I need!”

Once the equipment is prepared. Bandung Bondowoso stands in front of the stone altar. Her arms were spread wide. “Jinn, Help me!” She shouted in a thunderous voice.

Soon the sky became dark. The wind was roaring. A moment later, the troops of jinn are already surrounding the Bandung Bondowoso. “What should we do?” Asked the jinn leader.

“Help me build a thousand temples,” pleaded Bandung Bondowoso.

The jinn immediately moved to and fro, carrying out their respective duties. In a short time the temple building has been arranged almost reaching a thousand pieces. Meanwhile, Loro Jonggrang secretly observes from a distance.

He was worried, knowing that Bondowoso was assisted by the jinn forces. “Well, how is this?”, Said Loro Jonggrang in the heart. He’s looking for sense.

The royal ladies were told to assemble and be assigned to collect the straw.

“Fuel all the hay!” Orders Loro Jonggrang.

Some other ladies were told to pound the mortar. Dung … dung … dung! A rush of red shone into the sky with a frenzied voice, making it look like a dawning dawn. The Jinns thought dawn was breaking.

“Well, the sun will rise!” Cried the genie. “We must leave immediately before our bodies are burned by the sun,” continued the other genie. The jinns scattered away leaving that place.

Bandung Bondowoso was surprised to see panic jin troop. In the morning, Bandung Bondowoso invites Loro Jonggrang to the temple. “The temple you asked for is standing!”. Loro Jonggrang immediately counted the number of the temple. Apparently the number is only 999 pieces!.

“The number is less than one!” Cried Loro Jonggrang. “That means you have failed to qualify me.” Bandung Bondowoso surprised to know the shortcomings.

He became very angry. “It is impossible …”, said Bondowoso while gazing sharply at Loro Jonggrang. “Then you’re the one who completes it!” He said, pointing his finger at Loro Jonggrang. Wonderful! Loro Jonggrang immediately turned into a stone statue. Until now the temples are still there and located in the region of Prambanan, Central Java and called Loro Jonggrang Temple.

A brief History

According to historians named J.G de Casparis mention in scientific studies dissertation in 1950 said that Borobudur is a place of worship. This is based on the discovery of Karangtengah and Tri Tepusan inscriptions.

Based on this, J.G de Casparis estimates that the founder of Borobudur was King Mataram of the Syailendra dynasty named Samaratungga which began in 824 AD by taking almost half a century.

On the inscription Karangtengah mentioned about the conferment of land sima (land tax-free) by Cri Kahulunan (Pramudawardhani) to maintain Kamulan or called Bhumisambhara.

The term Kamulan is derived from the word Mula which means the place of origin, the sacred building to glorify the ancestors and possibly its ancestors from the Syailendra dynasty. Casparis also estimates that Bhumi Sambhara Bhudhara in Sanskrit means the Hill of the Bodhisattva Ten Bodhisattva Benefits is the original name of Borobudur.

Siapakah Tuan Guru Bajang yang Sebenarnya? Simak Biografi Singkatnya! Sun, 04 Feb 2018 13:44:16 +0000 Tuan Guru Bujang M Zainul Majdi

Majdi remaja pun dinyatakan lulus pda tahun 1990.

Setahun kemudian, ia melanjutkan tholabul ilminya di Pondok Pesantren Darul Qur’an Wal-Hadist di Nahdlatul Wathan Pancor. Tahun 1991, ia dinyatakan lulus.

Tak cukup sampai disitu, ia masih terus mengejar cita-citanya.
